Lauren has a degree in psychological science and lived experience seeking and receiving treatment for C-PTSD. Lauren has built and operated two successful businesses gaining valuable expertise in management and entrepreneurship. Lauren has experience working in the community mental health sector where she works with complex behaviours within trauma-informed framework.
Georgia is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Mental Health. She has previously worked at a High Risk Adolescent Service and has worked extensively with adult survivors of trauma and at-risk populations. This includes working on the Thai-Myanmar border, Darwin Hospital, Katherine Aboriginal Medical Service, and Redfern Aboriginal Medical Service. Dr Wyatt currently works in a regional area and has a considerable number of patients with C-PTSD.
Driving their passion for We Can Recover, Shawnee has lived experience of
CPTSD. They hold a Diploma of Counselling and continue their professional
development in courses aimed at servicing ‘at-risk’ populations. Shawnee
currently works as a Youth Project Officer/Health Education Officer. Their
clients include ‘at-risk’ youth, people who use drugs, sex workers, Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islanders, and people experiencing homelessness. Shawnee volunteers across multiple organisations and charities.
James a consultant Project Manager working in the infrastructure and building industry in Melbourne Australia. James holds an empathetic view of the world and strongly believes in equal treatment of people from a government to social level. James strongly believes in the vision of We Can Recover and is looking forward to seeing the charity continue to grow.
Baillee is a researcher and advocate working towards more equitable and beneficial public health policy, with a focus on alcohol and other drugs. They have lived experience of CPTSD and related mental health conditions, and are passionate about improving access to health information, reducing stigma, and removing barriers to accessing support for mental and physical health.
Lisa is a Research Scientist working in Sydney and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is passionate about mental health and the power of therapy in helping people overcome trauma. Lisa would like to see improved accessibility of mental health support services for those who need them most, and believes that We Can Recover will make a positive impact in this space.
